Why is This Here?
The purpose of this website is to outline the Occam Group’s approach to helping customer create business value. Every solution provider has a website, sales people and at least a handful of satisfied customers. So what really differentiates us all? The problem is that far too many of “solutions providers” are really pushing a specific product, too many “consultants” fail to really consult, and too many claims to competition differentiation are just reheated versions of the same argument. Let’s all agree to raise the level of the discussion.
What Really Matters?

Rather than focusing on a particular technology’s features and functions, let’s talk about what business problems it can solve, what value it can create, where it can help us go. Rather than focusing on what it can do, let’s talk about what it needs to do to create value in your specific scenario. Rather than talk in the abstract about your current “level of maturity” (as if you need someone to tell you that you’re immature), let’s talk about what needs to happen for your organization to optimize its ability to create unique value.
The Occam Formula.
On this website you will find discussions of Scenarios, Case Studies, Products descriptions, and the Value Optimization Framework. What are these pieces and how do they all fit together. The core commitment of the Occam Group is to work with you to optimize your organization’s ability to create unique value. The Value Optimization Framework is a proprietary framework which breaks the core areas most organization’s face as the look to build integrated and sustainable competitive advantage. As a tool it can be helpful as a way to conceptualize what are the major orbits of issues, and how do they connect. Now, no solution operates in a vacuum, we must consider the uniqueness of your scenario. The Scenarios are discussions of common situations where the VOF and our approach can help create value. Also, to create value we must show an ability to knit together the offerings in our solutions palette into a tailored answer that meets your needs.
